📋 October 5: Last day to register to vote or change your registration- by 9pm
🗳 October 6: Early voting starts
📬 October 6: Absentee ballots start being mailed out to those who requested them
⏳October 27: Last day to request an absentee ballot- applications must be received by your county Board of Elections by 8:30pm
🗳November 3: Election Day- Polls are open from 6:30am to 7:30pm. Absentee ballots must be received by your county Board of Elections by 7:30pm on Election Day.
🔍November 7: Last day to cure provisional ballots- voters who voted on a provisional ballot should follow instructions from their poll worker.

More than 1,500 late ballots from last month’s primary were tossed out across Ohio, according to recently certified election results. It was the first election under new rules that eliminated a four-day grace period for late, mail-in ballots.

The May 5 Primary was the first election under new rules that eliminated a four-day grace period for late, mail-in ballots. Now, any ballot arriving to the Board of Elections after 7:30 p.m. on Election Day is invalid.

In haste, the Ohio Senate has advanced Senate Joint Resolution 10, asking Ohioans statewide about what identification they should need to vote.
The constitutional amendment still needs a floor vote in the House, which seems likely next week, to make it onto November ballots. The Senate floor vote was 22-9.
