On December 16, 2025, members of the Mansfield Twp Police, Mansfield Twp Ambulance Corps, Virtua Paramedics, Franklin Fire Company, Bordentown Twp Fire Company, Florence Twp Fire Company, Chesterfield Twp Fire Company, Westampton Twp Fire Company, Burlington Twp Fire Company, Wrightstown Fire Company and NJSP SouthSTAR responded to a house fire in the Homestead Development of Columbus, NJ. In connection with the efforts of all involved, a few members conducted themselves with selfless efforts in the rescue of a trapped occupant from the dwelling. Saddly, that rescued occupant did later succumb to injuries sustained from the incident.

On March 20, 2026, the Burlington County 200 Club recognized the selfless efforts of some of our service members, who not only went into the residence once, but twice, never giving up their efforts to rescue that trapped occupant. It was with great honor that Thomas Flanagan presented Chief Robert MacFarland (Bordentown Twp Fire District #2), Chief George Senf, Jr., Deputy Chief James Wirth, EMT Kevin Peirce (all of the Mansfield Twp Ambulance Corps) and Officer Daniel Boyle (Mansfield Twp Police Department) with the 2026 HONOR VALOR AWARD.

As we continue to express our prayers and remembrances to our resident's family, we also honor those listed above, and all those, who put themselves in harms way, so that others may be helped.

Yesterday our cadets participated in a training drill that began with a classroom session on proper patient lifting techniques, followed by hands-on practice using the various equipment we have for lifting and moving patients.

We’re proud to have such a great group of cadets who are eager to learn and grow in their EMS skills. Their dedication and enthusiasm continue to impress us.

A special thank you to our Cadet Advisors for the time, effort, and commitment they put into making this valuable program possible. Your mentorship is helping shape the next generation of EMS providers. 👏🚑
