For the first time in our department’s history, we had the privilege of our first two career firefighters starting their first shift this morning. We will now have daytime staffing during the weekdays and will still have volunteers covering overnight and weekend calls. Just by chance, on their first day we had an all hands fire in our local and our staffed crew was first to arrive. We also want to thank all of our mutual aid departments for all of their help at today’s fire. One team, one mission. Protect life and property!

This morning, Franklin Fire Company and Mansfield Township Ambulance Corps hosted Shawn Simons and Alvaro Llanos for the 12th time at Northern Burlington County Regional High School for a presentation of “After the Fire”.

After The Fire tells the inspiring story of survival and friendship following the tragic Seton Hall dormitory fire on January 19, 2000.

This morning we responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a car and a school bus at the intersection of Hedding Road and Route 206. There were no students on the bus. Tow companies are still on location removing the vehicles.
