Born in Americus, Georgia, and raised in Buena Vista, Dee Dee has been a valued member of our Legacy family for five years. With 16 years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), she brings compassion, dedication, and a genuine love for caring for others to our community every day.

For Dee Dee, caregiving is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to make a difference. She takes pride in providing hands-on care while ensuring our residents feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for. Her favorite part of her job is building meaningful relationships, getting to know residents as individuals, and finding ways to brighten their days. ❤️

When she’s not caring for our residents, Dee Dee enjoys going to the gym, catching a movie, attending rodeos, or relaxing at home with a good TV show. She’s also a big sports fan, especially when it comes to cheering on her beloved Georgia Bulldogs 🐾 and Philadelphia Eagles! 🦅

🐝💛 Resident of the Month Spotlight: Carola Juliana Asmer Campos! 💛🐝

Please join us in celebrating our wonderful Resident of the Month, Carol Campos! 🌟

Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, Carol attended business school before beginning her career as an interpreter and translator for the German Federal Government. In 1972, she embarked on a new adventure and moved to the United States, where she met her husband, Julio, at Fort Bragg.

Carol is the proud mother of two children, grandmother of three, and great-grandmother of six! ❤️

🌎 Here’s a fun fact about Carol: She’s quite the world traveler! Carol has enjoyed more than 40 cruises with the same cruise line! Talk about a lifetime of adventures! 🛳️

An avid tennis player in years past, Carol hasn’t lost her love for staying active and having fun. These days, you’ll find her enjoying a friendly game of balloon badminton or participating in the many activities and events at Legacy Reserve at Old Town.

When asked what she loves most about living at Legacy, Carol’s answer was simple: the people! She describes our staff as caring and lovely and treasures the dear friendships she has made within our community.

And Carol, we feel exactly the same about YOU! 💛

Today is officially the end of an era at Legacy Reserve at Old Town. 🖤💛🐝

Although Susan isn’t here with us physically on her final day—because, in true Executive Director fashion, she’s spending it at budgets 😂—we couldn’t let today pass without celebrating the incredible mark she has left on our community.

For five years, Susan has been so much more than our Executive Director. She has been a leader, mentor, encourager, problem solver, prayer partner, friend, and a steady presence through so many chapters of Legacy Reserve.

Friday, we had the opportunity to celebrate her the way she deserved—with lots of laughter, a few tears, stories, hugs, and memories from the years we’ve shared together. Looking back through these pictures and videos is such a reminder that the people we work beside often become so much more than coworkers. They become part of our story. ❤️

Susan, thank you for the years you poured into our residents, our families, our associates, and this community. Thank you for the lessons, the laughter, the memories, and the difference you made along the way.

We are excited for everything waiting for you in this next chapter, but there will always be a Susan-sized piece of Legacy Reserve at Old Town. 🐝
