The Importance of PTO in Our School
A strong Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is an important part of building a successful school community. PTO brings parents, teachers, staff, and community members together to support students and enhance their educational experience. Through collaboration, fundraising, family engagement, and school activities, the PTO helps create opportunities that may not otherwise be possible. Most importantly, a strong PTO builds school pride, strengthens communication, and reminds our students that their entire community is invested in their success. Today, students also enjoyed a special class in the library, where they practiced identifying cited text and key details. Students were engaged in learning how to use text evidence to support their understanding—building important reading and comprehension skills along the way!

📚🎶 Rounding with Rhythm at Sale Elementary! 🎶📚
Our students are making math memorable! As part of 4.NBT.3, students practiced using place value understanding to round multi-digit whole numbers to any place, up to 1,000,000.
To make learning fun, students learned a “Rounding Rap” and added their own beat and hand motions to help them remember the steps for rounding. 🎤👏🏽 The energy, engagement, and excitement showed that learning can be both meaningful and fun!

Our 4th graders were on the move during today's Scavenger Hunt Spiral Review! 🟣🟡
Students worked together to solve task cards aligned to 4.NBT.2, demonstrating their ability to write numbers in standard form, word form, and expanded form. This engaging activity served as a spiral review, reinforcing the skills they learned last week while building confidence through collaboration and problem-solving.
