The members of this office are dedicated to protecting and serving the citizens of Stillwater County with integrity, respect, and compassion. Our office is responsible for the general law enforcement duties in Stillwater County. These duties include, but are not limited to: general patrol, criminal i

nvestigations, coroner responsibilities, civil process, search and rescue, victim's advocacy, concealed weapons permits, emergency dispatch, and court security. Our prisoners are cared for in the Yellowstone County Detention Facility, under contract.

Noah Coughlan of Run For America is running through our great state on his way to the west coast. He had the opportunity to meet up with SRO Deputy Waltner of Stillwater County Sheriff's Office and give a speech to students in Reed Point schools.
Nice work everyone keep up the good work and good luck Noah on finishing your run across the country.

***There was a large law enforcement presence late this afternoon in the 300 block of third avenue in Columbus. This was in relation to a warrant service. This is NOT related to the homicide earlier this week. It is a separate incident. There was no danger to the public, and the situation has been resolved. Thanks to the public for being patient while traffic was diverted.***
