Today is Community Health Worker (CHW) Day!

"Our CHWs do so many incredible things for the residents living in Franklin County," said Care Coordination Division Manager Lindsey Rodenhauser. "Their work makes life changing impacts for those they serve, and we are lucky to have such a great team of CHWs in multiple divisions," she added.

And Lindsey isn't wrong! Our CHWs conducted 3,049 client visits in 2025!

Thank you to all of our CHWs for everything they do!

When it comes to food safety, we do it all "FORE!" our residents!

Don't let our golf puns DRIVE you away! the Memorial Tournament is here, which means our Food Safety Inspectors are out in full force, working with tournament organizers to make sure the event keeps our residents healthy and safe!

Our Food Safety Inspectors did more than 7,000 inspections last year, including the 2025 Memorial Tournament! Their hard work, dedication and ability to work with all of our restaurants and food vendors truly puts them on PAR with the best!

Thanks so much to our Food Safety team for all of their amazing work, and have a great Memorial Tournament Weekend everyone!

June is Men’s Health Month! So give these health tips and resources a try my guys!

Today, it’s Official:
💙 It’s Men’s Health Month 💙

Health starts with conversation.

This June, we’re focusing on what truly makes a difference—education, prevention, and connection.

When men are supported by their families, partners, and communities, they are more likely to engage in their health and take action early.

Prevention starts it.
Partnership sustains it.

Ever wonder what it’s like to be an Immunization Nurse at FCPH?

Wonder no more! We tagged along with our Nurse Amy to learn what a “typical” day looks like in our clinics!

She starts the day by checking the temperature on vaccine storage to prevent waste (1) before looking at patient records (2), prepping their vaccine (3, 4) and printing off any relevant paperwork (5) before welcoming them in (6)!

Should our residents need information given in a different language, we have a nifty Martii cart to connect our residents with a translator (7). We also have guidance sheets printed in multiple different languages (8)!

Amy repeats these processes throughout the day while coordinating with other members of the team to make sure appointments happen on-time and go smoothly (9)!

Huge thanks to Nurse Amy and the team for letting us see how our clinics work! If you or your loved ones need to schedule an appointment, go to https://myfcph.org/vaccines/

Let's take a moment to call our shots, all 4,566 of them!

Our Immunization nurses administered 4,566 shots in 2025! And the numbers don't lie, because our nurses are out in the county protecting all of our residents by keeping them safe from vaccine preventable diseases.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

We’d like to feature the great work of Franklin County Su***de Prevention Coalition, which helps prevent su***de and brings hope and support to those affected by su***de.

FCPH has multiple staff members in the coalition, and currently we have two staff members in leadership roles: Our very own Sierra and Jasmine!

Jasmine, who serves as the Education Action Team Chair, said serving on the coalition has been a wonderful experience.

“It has been restorative to volunteer with the Franklin County Su***de Prevention Coalition as both a Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Training Instructor and chair,” she said. “Together, our programs hosted 3 QPR trainings and have connected community members and local agencies to mental health and su***de prevention resources and services,” she added.

Jasmine also said the coalition is an active partner within several of the our Community Health Action Teams (CHATs).

To the coalition and all of our staff members who serve in it, we say thank you for all that you do!

* If you’re in crisis, call or text the Su***de and Crisis Lifeline at 988.
