Ohio State Fair 2026
Claire and Sara represented the Brown Swiss Breed during the Junior and Open Brown Swiss Shows. It was such a fun week to meet new people and connect with the Brown Swiss exhibitors. Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to everyone who came out and supported the shows!

Let's welcome our 2026 Ohio Brown Swiss Princess Sara!
Sara Bok is 14 years old and attends Fairview Middle School, where she is in eighth grade. She lives on her grandparents' dairy farm, where they milk around 400 cows that are mostly Jerseys. A tew years ago, she became interested in the Brown Swiss breed, and ever since then, she has loved everything about them. Their calm personalities and strong appearance are what first made her fall in love with the breed. Today, they have around 30 Brown Swiss on the farm, and they have become a big part of her life. She is very excited to meet new people in the Brown Swiss industry and learn even more about the breed she loves.

Let's welcome our 2026 Ohio Brown Swiss Queen Claire!
Claire Linden is 17 years old and a junior at Elyria Catholic High School. She lives on her family farm in North Ridgeville. There, they raise registered Brown Swiss dairy cows and Brown Swiss dairy steers. Her love of dairy came from showing Holstein heifers from her grandparent's farm at the local county fair. She eventually fell in love with the Brown Swiss breed and purchased her first heifer. Her herd now consists of 20 cows and heifers. She can't wait to meet new Brown Swiss exhibitors and make new connections in the Brown Swiss industry.

“Serving as the 2025 Brown Swiss Queen has been such an incredible honor. As someone who milks Brown Swiss on my family’s farm, it meant so much to represent a breed and industry that I am so passionate about. My love for cows began with my grandpa, who first shared that passion with me and helped shape the appreciation I have for the dairy industry today. Throughout the year, I had the opportunity to congratulate and meet many wonderful people at events like the Spring Dairy Expo and the Ohio State Fair. I truly enjoyed connecting with fellow dairy enthusiasts and sharing the story of the Brown Swiss breed. This experience allowed me to make an impact on the dairy industry in my own way, and I am so grateful for the memories, friendships, and support I gained along the way. My love for my cows runs deep, so much so that one even made a special appearance at my proposal this past October! Even though she wasn’t a Brown Swiss, it was still a perfect reminder of how much the dairy industry is a part of my life. I will always be proud to have served as the 2025 Brown Swiss Queen.”

We would like to thank Rylee Willrath for serving as our 2025 Ohio Brown Swiss Princess👑
"I am excited to have been the 2025 Brown Swiss Dairy Princess. I enjoyed advocating for the Brown Swiss breed and the dairy industry. The best part was I could talk about cows all I wanted to everyone and no one thought it was odd. Throughout the year, I congratulated many exhibitors on their show accomplishments at Spring Dairy Expo, Auglaize and Van Wert County Fairs and the Ohio State Fair.
I participated in St. Paul UCC Carnival Day and New Bremen FFA Ag Dairy with a Petting Zoo including my Brown Swiss calf. The kids loved the stickers and tattoos as well as petting the calf and learning about the different breeds and the story behind Swiss Cow Bells. For June Dairy Month, I challenged everyone to go out, buy 10 gallons of milk (& other dairy products) and donate to their local food pantry. One person in particular filled her grocery cart full of dairy products and shared pictures. I donated 10 gallons of milk to the Blessing Pantry in New Bremen. I rounded out the year back at my school to celebrate having whole milk back in our
lunch line. I passed out promotional items to students to help celebrate. The cafeteria requested we celebrate milk every year.
I am honored to have had this experience. I got to know more people and stepped out of my comfort zone. The best interaction was a teenager excited with the biggest smile, jumped up
and down and commented, "That is the first time I ever touched a cow". I felt good that the first time she pet a cow; it was a Brown Swiss. Thank you to all the Brown Swiss Members and Enthusiasts for trusting me this past year to promote our big brown cow.
