The Mississippi University for Women Police Department is officially NIBRS certified — a major milestone that highlights professionalism, transparency, and a strong commitment to campus safety.

Becoming certified under the National Incident-Based Reporting System strengthens the department’s ability to deliver more accurate, detailed, and comprehensive crime data. NIBRS enhances reporting by capturing richer incident-level information, supporting data-driven decision-making, and ensuring alignment with national public safety standards.

This accomplishment reflects the department’s dedication to continuous improvement and accountability in law enforcement practices.

Special recognition goes to Assistant Chief Tyler Warnat for guiding the department through this rigorous certification process. His leadership and commitment were instrumental in reaching this achievement.

This certification marks not just a milestone — but a continued promise to serve and protect the campus community with excellence.
