Su Casa is so excited and thankful for the generous support of the Blue River Community Foundation to open a Su Casa office in Shelbyville. Since 1999, Su Casa has been established to provide a helping hand and remove barriers to make essential services accessible to Latino families in South/Central Indiana. Opening an office in Shelbyville will allow us to continue this important work with Shelbyville Latinos and community partners in a more accessible way.

Our Family Support services will include:
-connection to essential services and community resources
-translation and interpretation services
-school enrollment and connection
-advocacy and family support

Our new Shelbyville office is in the Blue River Community Foundation building on the second floor (Suite 9) on Mondays and Tuesdays from 12pm-5pm, and Fridays from 11am-4pm. For services, people can call our main line at 812-375-9370 and press 3 for the Shelbyville office.

Thank you to the Blue River Community Foundation and community partners like St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shelbyville Central Schools, and MHP!

On May 15, 2026, three of our SuCasa team members proudly completed a 2-day, 16-hour Leadership Training at Ivy Tech Community College. During this incredible opportunity, they strengthened their leadership skills, gained valuable knowledge, and continued growing both professionally and personally. We are truly grateful to Ivy Tech for investing in SuCasa and helping empower the Latino community in the workforce and in everyday life. This training reminded us that leadership is essential in every aspect of life — learning how to understand situations, communicate effectively, and support the people we lead with empathy and respect. Thank you again, Ivy Tech, for this wonderful opportunity and for believing in the growth of our community! 💙

El 15 de mayo de 2026, tres miembros de nuestro equipo de SuCasa completaron con orgullo un entrenamiento de liderazgo de 2 días y 16 horas en Ivy Tech Community College. Durante esta increíble oportunidad, pudieron fortalecer sus habilidades de liderazgo, adquirir nuevos conocimientos y seguir creciendo tanto profesional como personalmente. After 4 weeks of practice, our Spelling Bee came to an exciting end on May 11th! We had 3 different categories with participants ranging from 5 to 10 years old, and we could not be more proud of every child who participated. 🌟📚 Here are some pictures of the winners from each category, along with a group photo of all the amazing participants. Thank you to all the kids for their hard work and dedication, and a special thank you to the parents for supporting and encouraging them every step of the way. Your effort and commitment made this event so special! 💛 A very special thank you to the judges for joining our panel. This event would not have been the same without you all, and we truly appreciate your time and support! ✨

¡Después de 4 semanas de práctica, nuestro concurso de deletreo llegó a su emocionante final el 11 de mayo! Tuvimos 3 diferentes categorías con participantes entre 5 y 10 años, y no podríamos estar más orgullosos de cada niño y niña que participó. 🌟📚 Aquí les compartimos algunas fotos de los ganadores de cada categoría, junto con una foto grupal de todos los increíbles participantes.
