🎉 Hispanic Heritage Month! 🎉
September 15, 2026 - October 15, 2026

Hispanic Heritage Month has reminded us how special it is to learn about one another, celebrate our differences, and appreciate what makes each of us unique!

Yesterday, October 15th, we had a wonderful time celebrating our diverse cultures during Multicultural Night! Thank you to all of our parents, students, and staff who set up tables and helped make the evening so special. It was a beautiful opportunity to share traditions, learn from one another, and celebrate the many cultures that make our school community amazing.

Although Hispanic Heritage Month is ending, we can continue to celebrate diversity, show kindness, and learn about different cultures all year long!

Special thank you to our Multicultural Night Committee and the MBA Choir: Mrs. Gallatin, Mrs. Hunt-Hollis, Ms. Jenkins, Mr. King, Ms. Snead, Mrs. Staples, and Mrs. Wells

👻 Calling All Panther Families! 🍬

It is officially October and our Spooktacular is coming soon, and we need your help to make it a fun and exciting celebration for our students!

We are looking for parent and family volunteers to help during the event, as well as donations of individually wrapped candy for our Panthers to enjoy. You may sign up using the QR code found on the attached flyer.

There are two great ways to help:

Every volunteer and every candy donation helps us create a safe, festive, and memorable experience for our students. We appreciate our families for always supporting Mary A. Buckner Academy!

Tuesday, September 29th - Futbol Fan Day: Students can wear your favorite soccer jersey, team shirt, or athletic gear. Students may wear blue jeans without holes, tears, or frays as long as they wear a soccer jersey or team t-shirt.

Wednesday, September 30th - Represent a Country Day: Students can wear color or school-appropriate clothing representing a Hispanic or Latino country. Students may wear blue jeans without holes, tears, or frays as long as they wear colors of a Hispanic or Latino country.
