Her Myths and Monsters picture book is on another level! She went above and beyond by hand-drawing every single image and adding watercolors. Stop by the GSP room to see it. Way to go, Quynh!

Join us for a combined Fall Parent/Facilitator Conference and Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser! It’s the perfect time to connect with your child's facilitators, celebrate their progress, and set up strategies for a successful semester—all while enjoying some delicious homemade chili.

When: Wednesday, October 28th | 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
What: Parent/Teacher Conferences & Chili Cook-Off

Stop by the chili bar, sample the entries, and vote for your favorite! All donations directly support our PBIS and Student Activities Funds to help our students thrive.

We invite all of our families to join us at the Fitness Expo on Saturday, November 7th!

When you register, you can select CSA New Tech Intramural League as the recipient of $10 of your registration fee. That means your participation not only gets you involved in a fun community event - it also helps provide opportunities for other local youth to participate in sports and fitness!

-- $10 from your registration comes back to our organization
-- 100% of the funds we receive will be used to help support our intramural league
-- Come out, have fun, and support our team!

Signature Shoutout Alert:

Gabby (Class of 2027) is a rock star!!! She volunteers for events in the community and is a great representative of our school while volunteering. She is a cadet teacher for our Integrated Chemistry and Physics class, supporting students with taking notes, finishing assignments, and setting up experiments. Gabby is a studying nursing through the C4 program. She has a great heart for helping others and she will be a terrific nurse! Gabby is an encourager and leader at CSA!

This shoutout goes to Bella Sturgill (Class of 2029)! Bella is new to CSA New Tech this year, but has made tremendous progress and has been an amazing addition to the Dragon Family! Way to go, Bella!

Here at CSA New Tech, we excel at fostering a healthy culture among our students. This year, we have introduced House Gems in place of House Points as the main scoring system for House. These offer a tangible reward that students can obtain for participating in House activities, incentivising students to actively participate. One such House activity is the End of Quarter House Games, where students from each house compete in different fun activities to earn House Gems for their house.

Alongside House changes, our PBIS system has also undergone a makeover. While gems have largely replaced PBIS points, students can now receive a physical PBIS ticket, which can be entered into our golden raffle machine to win a prize at the end of every week. Alternatively, students can save their points and enter them in our exciting end-of-year drawings to win awesome prizes. Lastly, students can also spend their points at the PBIS Store for school supplies, snacks, and fidgets!

Big-time Signature Shoutout to our CSA students this past weekend! More than 30 amazing CSA New Tech students volunteered their time to help with the Mill Race Marathon Fun Run last Friday!! Jen Morrill shared the following shoutout:

"These students were incredibly helpful, but even more importantly, they were having FUN together! They were building into the culture of our school, burning energy, laughing, making memories, and simply enjoying being together!

I believe the younger kids notice the older students. They're watching them serve, lead, and have fun while doing it. That kind of example leaves an impact."

Today's Signature Shoutout goes to Ms. Erin Erickson, Special Education Teaching Assistant!

Miss Erickson is very supportive of all of our students at CSA. She works with students to make sure they understand assignments, helps them break big assignments into smaller steps, reviews missing assignments, and is a go-to adult for many students. She helps identify assignments that students need extra support in doing and figures out the best way to do that.
