The Columbus Police Department’s recent participation in the seat belt mobilization was a success!
From May 15 - 31st officers began increased traffic enforcement efforts which resulted in an increase in the observed seat belt usage rate (up 71% to 84%), no fatality accidents and only two
minor injury accidents where the occupants were not buckled up. During the campaign period officers issued 66 warnings, 27 citations and made 4 arrests. This campaign was made possible by a $3,696 grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office.

Columbus Police Department is seeking your help to locate Kanten Keller. He was last seen in the early morning hours of May 30, 2026.
Possibly in a white 2008 Volkswagen EOS.
