Platte Valley Early Learning Partnership is supported in part by a grant from federal CCDF, and a grant from Part C and Part B, 619 IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) administered by the Nebraska Department of Education provided to assist collaborative efforts promoting high quality, affordable, accessible training for all those who work with children and their families. Platte Valley Early Learning Connections partners include a broad representation of the early childhood field: center based child care, child care food program sponsors, community agencies, early intervention teams and early childhood special education, family child care, Head Start, 2-year and 4-year higher education institutions, DHHS licensing specialists, local businesses, preschools, professional organizations and support groups, public school, early childhood programs, and out of school time programs. Partners may be involved in The Platte Valley Early Learning Partnership in a number of ways including attendance at Partner Meetings, helping with conferences and events, sharing professional development opportunities, and advocating for young children and their families. Involvement in Platte Valley’s Partnership provides opportunities to participate in the early childhood leadership community, strengthen local, state, and national early childhood initiatives, promote quality and distributing of early childhood professional development opportunities and information.
