✞ FUNERAL ARRANGMENTS FOR PAST PRESIDENT ANDY KAZA✞
The Cambria County Regional Firefighters Association (CCRFA) joins the Dauntless Fire Company and the entire fire service community in mourning the loss of Andrew F. Kaza—a lifelong firefighter, mentor, and leader whose influence reached far beyond his home station.
Andy’s fire service journey began in 1960 after serving in the U.S. Army, and he went on to hold nearly every leadership role within Dauntless, including Fire Chief from 1980–1986. His dedication didn’t stop there—he continued serving as Trustee for almost 20 years.
Across Pennsylvania, Andy was known not only for his leadership but for his generosity and commitment to helping others. As the owner of Kaza Fire Equipment, he supported departments throughout the region, always ready to lend a hand or share his expertise. His work as a longtime instructor with the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy shaped countless firefighters who proudly carry his lessons forward.
Andy was active in numerous fire service associations and served as President of both the Cambria County & Vicinity and Central District associations. His contributions strengthened the fire service at every level. He was the oldest CCRFA Past President in Service.
To Andy’s wife Karen, his son Ryan, and the entire Kaza family—CCRFA extends our heartfelt sympathy. Andy’s legacy will live on in the firefighters he trained, the departments he supported, and the community he loved.
