🚂 Fun fact: the very first book every child receives from the Imagination Library is “The Little Engine That Could,” no matter where they live or when they sign up. Dolly picked it on purpose, it’s all about believing you can do hard things!

If you’ve got a little one under 5 here in Comanche County, they can be getting their own free books in the mail too.

🙋‍♀️ Comanche Public Library and De Leon Public Library need YOU!

We’re looking for volunteers to help with our events and there’s a spot for just about everyone. Whether it’s setting up before, taking down after, reading at story time, or pitching in any way during, every helping hand makes a difference.

You don’t need any special skills just a willingness to lend a hand and a love for your library. Give an hour here and there, or help out regularly. Whatever you can offer, we’d be grateful for it.

Did y’all know Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has now gifted over 325 MILLION books to kids around the world? That’s a whole lot of bedtime stories!

Every child in Comanche County from birth to their 5th birthday can get a brand new, age appropriate book mailed to them every single month, completely FREE, thanks to Dolly and our local partners.
