Combine VFD was very busy yesterday training hard and learning new skills! Huge shout-out to our instructors: Capt. Kyle McAfee (Forney FD), Capt. Jody Farrel (Balch Springs FD), Deputy Chief Jason Hyde (Kemp FD), Asst. Chief Josh Woodham (Crandall FD), Fire Investigator Bradley Lewis (Rockwall FMO) and his son, Kash Lewis. You all made this instructor led live fire training possible and we appreciate it more than you know!

We’d also like to thank our amazing meal sponsor, Ron-Paul Geri, for providing us with a delicious meal from B4 Barbeque & Boba, in Mabank! If you haven’t tried their food yet, make sure you stop by, they have the best BBQ around!

FYI: Combine FD will be training this morning at the old Combine City Hall and will be utilizing a smoke machine and our engine! Please don’t panic if you see activity in the area.

We are expecting a beautiful weekend ahead, prompting many residents to engage in yard work. Please be reminded that Kaufman County remains under a burn ban, prohibiting any burning activities.

The next monthly cleanup event is scheduled for March 7th at the Terrell Convenience Station in Terrell. The Monthly Cleanup Calendar, which outlines accepted items, is available for viewing on the Kaufman County website.
