The course is 80% in the shade, and follows the creek the entire course. The mild mornings in the Texas Hill Country, along with the waterfront, create the perfect setting for a run or walk. Make it a perfect day by visiting some of the
many antique stores, gift shops, restaurants or wineries in the small community. to see several historic buildings. Drive the hill country roads to view spectacular bluebonnets and other wildflowers. Come the night before and stay in a quaint bed and breakfast or hotel. Comfort has so much to offer. The Comfort Public Library plans to refurbish and reconfigure its historic 100-year-old front structure. The library serves hundreds of people of all ages with a large variety of services. The Texas Lions Camp offers an incredible summer camping experience to children from the state of Texas with physical disabilities and Type 1 diabetes. The children attend camp at no cost to them or their families. Guide Dogs of Texas is a nonprofit organization which promotes freedom, mobility and independence to visually impaired Texans by breeding, raising and training quality Guide Dogs. Comfort Community Church, recognized by the Texas Historical Commission as a historic building, was dedicated in 1892. This Gothic Revival Building first served the German Evangelical Congregation. For over 50 years, the Lutherans shared their building with other denominations and the structure became known as the Comfort Community Church.
