Life Saving Recognition!
Last week’s SACFD District Board Meeting honored members of Tower 24 and Platte Valley Ambulance 24 with a Life Saving Recognition for their exceptional actions during an emergency response on March 19, 2026.

Crews responded to a medical emergency involving a patient in critical condition. Upon arrival, firefighters and paramedics quickly started CPR and other advanced lifesaving steps, which led to the successful return of circulation.

Because of their fast response, teamwork, and professionalism, these crews ensured the patient received the necessary care for a positive outcome and was later discharged from the hospital.

South Adams County Fire is proud to honor these members for their dedication, training, and commitment to serving our community each day. Please join us in congratulating them on this well-deserved recognition. 🚒

Bring the whole family to learn about battery safety, proper disposal, and the simple steps you can take to keep your community safe from battery fires.

Every year, thousands of fires caused by batteries happen in the home, at offices, and at recycling centers. When thrown away, the batteries in old holiday decorations, tools, phones, and so much more can easily spark, igniting dangerous fires that are incredibly difficult to extinguish.
