Did you know Reunion Elementary offers School Based Therapy services?

What is a school based therapist vs. a school counselor?
A school‑based therapist is a licensed mental health clinician who provides clinical treatment. They focus on behavioral health conditions, suicidality, trauma, and ongoing therapeutic care that requires professional licensure.
A school counselor provides universal and preventative support such as academic guidance, SEL lessons, short‑term counseling, and coordination of schoolwide programs. Counselors do not diagnose, treat mental health disorders, or provide clinical therapy.

🌈 Why Mental Health Support Matters in Elementary School
Helps students understand and express feelings
Builds resilience and confidence
Supports positive peer relationships
Improves focus, attendance, and readiness to learn
Provides early support to reduce long‑term behavioral health concerns
Encourages healthy coping strategies that last a lifetime

🌟 What We Offer
Individual counseling during the school day
Small-group support for emotional skills, friendships, and coping
🏠 Family collaboration to strengthen home–school connections
Crisis and safety support when students need immediate help

💙 Our Approach
Our services use evidence-based practices and trauma-responsive care to meet the behavioral health needs of students. We focus on:
Strengthening emotional skills
Supporting recovery and growth
Partnering with families and staff
Promoting overall well-being for students and their caregivers
Our goal is to walk alongside students throughout their behavioral health journey and help them feel safe, capable, and connected at school.

📬 How to Access Services
Teacher or staff referral
Parent/guardian request
School counselor or administrator
For more information please contact Neo Henry at [email protected]
We look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s well-being.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Safety!

Drop-off and pick-up can get hectic, so please remember: when the crossing guard enters the street, all vehicles must stop, no matter which direction students are crossing. If you do not see a crossing guard, please proceed with caution, as students may cross unexpectedly.

Thank you for helping keep our students and families safe!
