At last night’s City Council meeting the Miami City Council approved to transfer ownership of a surplus Miami Fire Department tanker truck to the Commerce OK Volunteer Fire Dept. The Commerce Volunteer Fire Department had a need for the truck that the Miami Fire Department no longer utilized. The greatest community option was to partner with Commerce to ensure a need was met. City of Commerce, Oklahoma City Administrator Michael Hart (right) was in attendance to receive the keys directly from City of Miami, Oklahoma Mayor Bless Parker (left). This is what community is all about!
