Founded in 1921, the Commerce Rotary Club provides service to others, promotes integrity, and advances world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

FIRST -- The development of acquain

tance as an opportunity for service;
SECOND -- High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
THIRD -- The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;
FOURTH -- The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

After nearly almost a year, Doug Raine drew the lucky Ace of Spades as members raised over $600 for clean water wells in Africa. Rotary District 5810 - North Texas and Rotary International will fund over $85,000 in the clean water and sanitation fund.

Commerce Rotarian and Texas A&M University – Commerce graduate student Joseph Brown finished third in the US Olympic trials in June in Eugene, OR with a throw of 65.79 meters. He was in eighth place prior to his final throw, and made the US Olympic Team by finishing third, ahead of Reggie Jagers III, by a margin of two inches.
Brown, born June 13, 1996, is an American discus thrower from Mansfield, TX. He represented the United States at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago placing fifth overall with a throw of 60.14 meters. He won the NCAA Division II national championship in the discus with a throw of 59.54. meters for Texas A&M University – Commerce in 2019.

Local blood banks have conveyed to us they are critically low on blood donations.

Please consider coming out to our “Battle of the Badges” blood drive and support Commerce Fire-Rescue and Commerce Police Department by making a donation on behalf of one of our departments!
