It's one of our favorite volleyball events of the year, and while the brackets didn't line up for our entire student body to pack the gym like in years past, our Lady Tigers still had a GREAT day on the court yesterday! πŸ§‘πŸ–€

We love a good positive behavior reward! The Tiny Tigers in Amanda Caviness' 2nd grade class have been earning green sticks when the whole class is on task, listening carefully, and making smooth transitions throughout the day.

All that great teamwork earned them a Sip, Sip, Hooray Party! πŸ₯³ Students decorated their own cups, chose a flavored water packet, and topped it off with the perfect bendy straw.

Way to work together and make great choices, Tiny Tigers! πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Friday Night Lights are officially BACK in Commerce, America! 🐯🏈🧑

And our first one had a little bit of EVERYTHING!

πŸ“£ The pep rally was LIT.
🏐 Lady Tiger Volleyball battled hard in Tiger Gym.
🏈 Tiger Football opened the season with a BIG win over Lone Oak.
🎺 The Roaring Tiger Band debuted the first movement of their new marching show.

And the best part? This is just the beginning.

The Tigers open the season at home against Lone Oak tonight! Before you head to Tiger Stadium, here is what you need to know:

⏰ Gates open at 6:30 PM
🐯 Pregame at 7:00 PM
🏈 Kickoff at 7:30 PM

🚨 NEW THIS YEAR: Weapon Detection Systems
All guests will pass through our new weapon detection systems at the gates.

The less you bring, the faster you get in!
πŸŽ’ Clear bags are strongly encouraged
🚫 NO signs
β˜” NO umbrellas
πŸͺ‘ NO full-size folding chairs, only stadium seats allowed
⏰ Arrive early and bring only what you need

🏈 Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.

Join us on Friday, September 25 at 7:10 p.m. as we proudly dedicate the football field at Tiger Stadium in honor of former Commerce ISD Superintendent Blake Cooper.

Football was a lifelong passion for Mr. Cooper. He played at East Texas State University and later coached high school football before eventually making his way to Commerce ISD, where his leadership left a lasting mark on our district.

The dedication will take place at the north end of Tiger Stadium near the flags. Mr. Cooper's family will join us to share a few words and unveil the plaque that will permanently honor his legacy.

We are proud that generations of Tigers will take the field on Friday nights and see the name of a man who gave so much to Commerce ISD. πŸ§‘πŸ–€

We hope you'll join us for this special moment in Tiger history.
