Senior Center of Commerce The Commerce, TX Senior Center meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 10am-1pm for Bingo and lunch. Come join us for games, fun, and community!

Wednesday's turnout was 31 seniors playing Bingo, and we handed out a record 41 prizes! Erica from Healing Touch Homecare LLC visited and brought prizes, and was highly motivated to break Rickey's previous prize record of 37. She called games fast and played 3 rounds per card, and at one point we had 5 people Bingo at once!

Congratulations to Bill H and Betty C with 4 Bingo's each, and Louella, Mary Alice, and Buddy with 3 each! Also congratulations to Betty S for being our solo Blackout winner for the day!

We had quite a few folks out on Monday to play Bingo and have a good time. 28 Seniors took home 30 prizes, with Odessa and Angela grabbing 3 wins each and a whole bunch of people winning twice. Rickey called our last games with the old plastic Bingo balls, which are soon to be retired and replaced with new ones that we all know will help Marsha win more.

On a fun personal note, I've been hanging out with these awesome people for about 8 months and fairly often play their cards when they're picking out prizes or step away from the table for a moment, and this Monday was the first time I've won a Bingo!

Wednesday's session brought out 26 folks to play Bingo and enjoy the community. You could tell right away that Rickey wanted to play fast and hand out lots of prizes. Congratulations to Bill with 4 wins on the day, and to Teresa, Peg, Betty, Yvonne, and Marsha with 3 each! A total of 37 prizes were handed out, which is the highest I've ever seen.

We've got the greatest folks in Commerce and plenty of room for new players! If you haven't visited us yet come out and play some Bingo with us!

I'm late with the updates this week! Monday we had 26 seniors playing Bingo, and handed out 32 prizes! While we had a lot of players with 2 wins each, our only 3-time winner for the day was Shelia! Also congratulations to Joyce on a great solo Blackout win!

We also celebrated August birthdays Monday with a cake and festivities! It's always fun at the beginning of the month to spend a bit of time recognizing all the folks leveling up!

Last Wednesday we had 28 seniors playing Bingo, with Rickey calling fast games and a total of 33 prizes being handed out! Congratulations to Shelia with 4 Bingo wins, and to Bernice, Patsy, Bill, and Bonnie on 3 wins each!

Tomorrow (August 3) we'll be celebrating our August birthdays with cake and singing, so come out and join us for a great time!

27 amazing seniors came out to play Bingo yesterday, including a new person (welcome to the community Kathy)! Our big winner for the day was James with 4 Bingo's, followed closely by our newest member Kathy, who on her first day with us landed 3 Bingo's! Also congrats to Odessa on one of the funniest Blackout wins ever!

We're going to celebrate August birthdays next Monday (August 3rd) with cake and song, which would be a great time to join us if you've never visited before! We have a welcome place at a table for you, plenty of Bingo cards and prizes, and a wonderful community who always love meeting new people!

We had a great group of 26 seniors playing Bingo Wednesday, including one new person and one joining us for the 2nd time! We love getting to know new seniors, and are happy to welcome Susan to our community, and to welcome Melba back! Sondra was our big winner for the day, bagging 4 Bingo's! Neva won 3 times, including 2 Bingo's and the Blackout prize.

We also want to thank Rusty from Cypress Basin Hospice for bringing prizes and calling Bingo. He's a hilarious caller and a fun fellow to have around, and we all look forward to his visits! While his voices are usually the highlight of his time with us, Wednesday he treated us to a bit of a flying lesson as well (see pictures)!

If you haven't visited us yet, it's nice and cool in the fellowship hall and we always have a great time! If you're a senior 60+ and like to play Bingo and laugh with the greatest group of people in Commerce, come out and see us!

We had a great day of Bingo yesterday, with 23 seniors and a special visitor, Alicia from Angels Care Home Health calling Bingo and bringing prizes! Congratulations to Bill and Shelia with 3 wins each, and to Yvonne for winning our Blackout prize!

Alicia always brings us good tips, and yesterday's was about the importance of drinking enough water. We hit 102° today folks, so listen to Alicia and stay hydrated!

We had a cozy group of 19 today, including a brand new senior to our community who we all enjoyed meeting. Stacy from Heritage Home Health & Hospice brought prizes and called Bingo for us today, and also brought her grandkids! Congratulations to Patsy with 5 Bingo wins on the day, Bonnie and James with 4 each, Yvonne, Buddy, and Bill with 3 each, and Neva with 2 Bingo wins plus a Blackout win!

Next week we have a great lineup of guests, and as always the greatest community in Commerce. Come join us!

Our Monday Bingo game drew 24 playing for prizes, as well as a beloved visitor! Even on an overcast, wet day, we turn out to see our friends. Congratulations to Patsy with 4 Bingo wins, and to Betty with 3 Bingo wins plus a Blackout win!

We also enjoyed Jim stopping by to see us, and I think we all agreed that it was his duty to eat a doughnut while he was hanging out!
