This Stonehenge contraption is the base work for a new water tower for the Como Roundhouse. When it's done it will be as beautiful as Stonehenge.

The local but forgotten history of the Chinese rail workers will be shared by Charlease Elzenga at BPRD August 21, 2021 here at Roberts Cabin.

Roberts Cabin is on the road from Como to Boreas Pass, near the beginning of Pike National Forest. At Roberts Cabin historian Charlease Bobo Elzenga will be volunteering to share the history of Roberts Cabin and the surrounding mining area. She'll have her spinning wheel with her and can give spinning demonstrations.

Boreas Pass Railroad Day celebrates the power of the narrow gauge train going over Boreas Pass from Como to Breckenridge. The train was the Denver, South Park & Pacific. August 21 will have open sites on Boreas Pass and in Como, including the Roundhouse, the Depot, the Schools and funky Rowe Street.

Come to Boreas Pass Railroad Day on Saturday, August 21 and see the old town of Como and imagine it bustling with 500 residents and railroad workers. Visit the landmarks where the Denver, South Park and Pacific Railroad passed through.

Bakers Tank is on Boreas Pass Road not far from the summit. This water tank was needed by the narrow gauge engines that went from Como to Breckenridge. The photos are shared by David Stremme.

CCA is one of the partners with Boreas Pass Railroad Day. If you're interested in updates about CCA, there's an open meeting on May 29, 2021, 2 pm at the Como Civic Center.

CCA meeting Saturday, May 29, 2:00 at the Como Civic Center. This is the first meeting in over a year. Besides Board members this meeting is open to all interested people.

The Como Civic Association is meeting this Saturday, May 29, 2pm at the Civic Center. It's an open meeting and actually the first meeting in 2021.

The CCA is one of the supporters of BPRDay when it opens its doors to its landmarked schools in Como. The picture below is the High School. Can you imagine Como with so many kids that there was a high school? but that's the way it was.

Volunteers are working on new track and other projects in Como at the Como Roundhouse and Depot. If you want to volunteer - look up the Denver South Park & Pacific Historical Society (internet) and the South Park Rail Society (FB). Here's a video of the what's going on.
