Fulton, NY: Two waterfronts, one city! Our appreciation goes out to NBRC Capacity Coordinator, Sarah L, who traveled to Fulton earlier this month to attend the first Recreation Economy for Rural Communities (RERC) in-person workshop of the year. Thank you to all who helped make this workshop possible, and who continue to work towards bringing people together in our great outdoors. The NBRC team is looking forward to more RERC workshops throughout the region!
A note from Sarah: "What a wonderfully inspiring visit to Fulton, NY! The steering committee gave us a really in-depth community tour on day one, showing us their lake and river waterfronts, a handful of their 21 parks and introduced us to their passionate community members on day 2. As a community of 11,000, the amount of open space and recreation potential is jaw dropping. None of that potential can be realized without the enthusiastic people of Fulton, NY and their staff in the Parks and Rec department."
