We are Staying the Course at West this year! Congratulations to our October Wolverine Pride Award-Staff Members of the Month, sponsored by Oak Grove Baptist Church! Congratulations to Mr. French and Ms. Walsh.

Mr. French goes above and beyond for West Cabarrus on a daily basis. From mowing fields surrounding the tennis courts, hanging up signs, mowing the practice football field, and checking garbage for absent custodians, French is always ready to step in and offer a helping hand. This is just a small sample of all the things he offers to do for our school. He does so with a smile and always makes sure to check on how others are doing. He is a bright light around campus and a blessing to the West Family.

Ms. Walsh has helped many staff members and students when they are in need. She is enthusiastic in her classroom, is problem solving all of the time and seeking advice about continuing the culture in her program. She has helped people in the auditorium when help is needed and has even gone to school to work hard on the weekends, organizing her inventory or learning the space and its systems to help support when staff members need help. Ms. Walsh looks for ways to help others and to look out for our school and the staff and students who are a part of it. She has already auditioned and casting her first production and is running rehearsals to prepare to take the theatre students to NCTC as well as hosting the all-county play festival which benefits not only our students here at West Cabarrus but students across the county from high school theatre programs. She is deserving of Wolverine of the month because of all of the hard work she is doing for her program as well as others and for the way she supports her fellow staff members.

Thank you, Oak Grove Baptist Church - Harrisburg, NC for supporting West Cabarrus!

Our West Cabarrus Dance classes had a wonderful time visiting the Charlotte Ballet!  Our scholars enjoyed this exciting opportunity to experience the art of dance beyond the classroom, explore the world of professional ballet, and deepen their appreciation for the performing arts.

At West Cabarrus, we believe in creating meaningful experiences that inspire our scholars to grow, explore, and discover new possibilities. We are Staying the Course at West!
