Our Earn & Learn Summer Program had the opportunity to tour Manchester Community College (MCC) and learn about the wide variety of educational pathways available to students.
During the visit, students were introduced to several of MCC's programs and gained insight into what sets the college apart from other community colleges in the area. They explored the Automotive Technology program, where graduates can earn factory certifications upon completion of their degree.
Students also visited the Nursing Program, which recently upgraded its simulation lab. The new technology allows students to record and review their interactions, helping them develop important skills such as bedside manner and patient communication.
In addition, students learned about the Electrical Technology program. They discovered that graduates can earn certifications after completing their degree requirements, and that 8,000 hours of apprenticeship experience is required to become a licensed electrician.
