Do you know someone looking for work? Please share this post and help spread the word about our upcoming FREE Job Fair on October 21 from 10 AM to Noon at America's Job Center of California.

Job seekers will have the chance to meet directly with recruiters and employers, learn about available positions, and access valuable community resources.

This holiday season, you can help put food on the table for local families.

Our Thanksgiving Food Drive is now accepting donations of non-perishable food items and grocery gift cards to help provide Thanksgiving meals for households experiencing hardship.

Donations can be dropped off at 1333 Willow Pass Rd., Suite 206, Concord, CA 94520 through November 13 during business hours. ​

​Most-needed items include canned vegetables, stuffing mix, mashed potatoes, gravy, rice, beans, and other Thanksgiving essentials. Grocery gift cards valued at $30 are especially appreciated to help families purchase a turkey. ​​https://shelterinc.org/news-events/events/

Every day at the Beck Avenue Navigation Center, Alfred and his team prepare meals for people experiencing homelessness. But a hot meal is about so much more than food.

It can say: You matter. You are welcome here. Someone cares.

Meals create dependable moments of comfort and stability, and a place where people can gather, talk, laugh, and feel part of a community.

As Alfred shared:

Join SHELTER, Inc. for National Night Out! ⭐

National Night Out is all about bringing neighbors together, strengthening police-community partnerships, and building connections that make our communities stronger.

Come spend the evening with us at Broadway Village in Vallejo for board games, outdoor games, music, nachos, and plenty of opportunities to connect with neighbors and local community providers. Community partners will be on hand to share helpful information and resources.

🥫 Want to help? We’ll also be collecting non-perishable food donations to support our community. Bring an item or two if you can!
