Big shoutout to our friends at the Milldam Nursery School. Group 4 was so lucky to visit earlier this month. Students were shown the importance of wearing protective turnout gear and given a walkthrough of the engine and ambulance. We talked about how to call 9-1-1 in an emergency, both students and teachers discussed with the firefighters about how and when to utilize it before heading back to class. Thanks for having us! 🚒🚑

Concord Fire has joined fire stations, landmarks, and communities across the country in participating in the annual “Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters” tribute.

An initiative led by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) that invites communities in all 50 states to illuminate landmarks, businesses, firehouses, and residences from April 26 through May 3 in remembrance of firefighters who have died in the line of duty and in support of their families.

These red lights serve as a beacon of solidarity, a visible reminder to every resident who passes by that the men and women who run toward danger are never taken for granted.

The week-long tribute leads into one of the most solemn events on the fire service calendar. The National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend is scheduled for May 2–3, 2026, in Emmitsburg, Maryland, where 204 firefighters who died in the line of duty 97 lost in 2025 and 107 in prior years will be formally honored at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.

Many members of the Concord Fire Department will be in attendance this year as Retired Captain William Noke will be honored. 💜

We encourage you to share your photos of tribute for Captain Noke and all fallen firefighters.
