GSCCC, administered by NHDES, works to support the goals of reducing dependence on foreign oil, and improving air quality, through the use of domestically produced, cleaner burning alternative fuels and other fuel reduction strategies. Department of Energy Clean Cities Program, the Granite State Clean Cities Coalition (GSCCC) seeks to reduce petroleum use in transportation through the use of dome
stically produced, cleaner burning alternative fuels and other fuel reduction strategies. A collaborative of over 100 public and private interests from all regions in New Hampshire, GSCCC is administered by the NH Department of Environmental Services, a State of New Hampshire agency. Alternative Fuel Vehicles that run on fuels such as electricity, natural gas, propane, biodiesel, ethanol and hydrogen can help reduce vehicle emissions, provide domestic economic benefits, and increase the energy security of the US by reducing our dependence upon foreign sources of petroleum. The stability of our transportation future, and perhaps even the nation’s economy, rests upon our ability to diversify the nation’s fuel sources and types.
