Earlier today, Lieutenant Williams & Sergeant Bullock joined other public officials at Hampton Beach to kick off the Summer season! The Division of Enforcement would like to wish everyone a Happy Summer, and remind you to please drink responsibly ☀️

STATE AND LOCAL LEADERS SHARE UPCOMING EVENT PREPARATIONS, SAFETY TIPS FOR THE SUMMER SEASON

Today, New Hampshire Department of Safety Commissioner Robert Quinn was joined by Executive Councilor Janet Stevens and members of the Hampton police and fire departments, Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce, State Beach Patrol, State Police, Fish and Game, the Department of Transportation, New Hampshire 911, and State Liquor Enforcement, to discuss public safety preparations for the summer season, which officially begins Sunday, June 21, at 4:24 a.m. ET.

Officials discussed initiatives to ensure the safety of all residents and visitors while driving, boating, swimming, or exploring the Granite State. They also provided updates on changes in seasonal operations and currently available resources. Video of the event is available on YouTube for media use.

SUMMER SAFETY TIPS & REMINDERS:

Through initiatives funded by the Office of Highway Safety, increased law enforcement patrols will be deployed throughout the state to enforce all traffic safety laws, with a focus on impairment, speed, and distraction.
Alcohol is not permitted on Hampton Beach. Fireworks are unlawful in the town of Hampton.
Children under the age of 13 are required to always wear a United States Coast Guard-approved lifejacket while underway on a boat. It is good practice for everyone on board to wear one.
Pay extra attention and watch for workers while driving through construction zones.

Granite State residents can sign up for NHAlerts to receive public safety notifications.

If hiking, dress for the weather appropriately and leave a written plan with a friend or loved one.

In the event of an emergency, contact 9-1-1 immediately. Call if you can, text if you can’t.

This afternoon, members of the Division had the honor of participating in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Hampshire! Our team helped es**rt the Flame of Hope through Concord, ending at the State House where celebrations were held. Great job everyone!!🏃‍♂️

Today, on Peace Officers Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women in law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
Their courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to protecting our communities will never be forgotten. We stand in gratitude for their service and in support of the families, friends, and fellow officers who carry their legacy forward.
Please take a moment today to remember the fallen—and to recognize those who continue to serve with honor.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! As we gather to celebrate, we want to remind everyone to make safety a priority.

If you choose to drink:

• Plan ahead for a safe and sober ride home
• Pace yourself
• Don't operate a vehicle while impaired
• Be mindful of your limits and look out for others

Our Investigators will be out working with our licensees to ensure compliance with state liquor laws and to keep our communities safe.

Attention Licensees!

With warm weather approaching, it's time to begin planning for outdoor seating! ☀️⛱

All outdoor areas must be approved by the Commission prior to alcohol service being authorized. New areas will require written permission from the municipality, and an updated Permit of Assembly.

All ID's must contain the bearer's name, photo, date of birth, and cannot be expired!
