Recently fulfilled PTO grants are already making an impact across Cox Mill Elementary!

Our Student Wellness Committee received supplies for quarterly PBIS celebrations, including activity kits, bubbles, popcorn supplies, and sidewalk chalk stencils to support positive behavior initiatives schoolwide.

Additional grants provided new storage containers for hands-on metric measurement activities in 4th grade math, along with yardsticks and testing dividers to support classroom learning and student confidence during testing.

Thank you to everyone who supports our PTO and helps bring meaningful resources and experiences to our students and staff!

Comet of the Month – April 2026 🌟

We are excited to recognize Casey Kight, School Nurse, as our Comet of the Month!

Nurse Casey is celebrated for the calm, caring presence she brings to Cox Mill Elementary each day. She helps students feel safe, heard, and supported, especially in moments when they need comfort and reassurance. Families and staff appreciate her kindness and the way she builds trust with every child she cares for.

Beyond her professionalism, Nurse Casey is also known for her warmth and positivity. She’s someone students and staff genuinely enjoy talking with and laughing alongside each day.

Take the night off from cooking and support Cox Mill Elementary at the same time! Join us for Domino’s Spirit Night tomorrow, Tuesday, April 21st. A portion of all orders that day will be donated back to the CMES PTO.

🌟 Comet of the Month – March 2026 🌟

We are excited to recognize Tammy Trice, 3rd Grade Teacher, as our Comet of the Month!

Mrs. Trice is being celebrated for the lasting impact she has on her students and families at Cox Mill Elementary. She brings patience, kindness, and a consistently positive, high-energy presence that helps every child feel supported, valued, and excited to learn.

Families shared how she meets students where they are and supports their individual growth with care and encouragement. Her classroom is described as a safe, welcoming space where students feel seen and confident, and where learning is engaging, creative, and joyful.

Beyond academics, Mrs. Trice helps students grow in confidence, resilience, and curiosity. Her strong communication with families ensures students are supported both at school and at home, and her dedication is reflected in meaningful academic and personal growth.
