Memorial Day Preparations - The Cemetery Staff, along with Parks & Recreation staff, have been very busy preparing our 13 cemeteries for Memorial Day. In addition to mowing and trimming, staff have prepared 750 flower beds at the cemeteries and planted 5700 flowers (funds for which are provided by the Flower Trust Fund). In addition, volunteers have placed American flags on the graves of more than 5,000 veterans buried in the City’s cemeteries. The Cemetery Office at Blossom Hill has additional American flags available for any veterans, if needed. The Cemetery Office at Blossom Hill will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through the weekend May 23rd -25th.
