Every week we average around 15 new calls for diapers. We provide 40 emergency diapers to families with children under age 4 to help with the gap between pay checks. Most of the families we serve have one working parent and 2 children. They are just trying to make it work in one of the most expensive counties in California.

Zyland is a drop off zone for diaper and wipe donations!

ZyLand is now accepting donations of costumes and costume accessories through Halloween.

🕷️ Bring in gently used or new costumes that your kids have outgrown or that they no longer need for another family to enjoy. Just dropped them at the front desk!

🛍️ Please have them bagged up, clean (no holes or stains), no missing pieces. All child sizes accepted!

👻 We'll have a clothing rack in the front lobby for you to look through and feel free to take what you need.

🚫 Important: Please no dirty or broken items. If you wouldn't want it, then don't donate it. Thank you!!

Congratulations to our own Patti Holcombe Gylock for being chosen by The National Diaper Bank Network as an award winner. Patty was my youngest child's 4th grade teacher and when she retired she started volunteering with us and brought her teacher skills with her. She keeps our data updated on the computer, she has stepped up during our transition to lead our volunteers and ordering inventory, she has led another non profit do do 3 diaper drives for us, included the diaper bank in a bulk order with another program to save us money , She picks up diapers from my porch to take in to the bank, and regularly reaches out to me to see if I need anything or make suggestions for streamlining our distributions. Thank you for making a difference in Taylor's life 14 years ago and thank you for all you do for Sweet Beginnings Diaper Bank to help all the families and babies we serve.

During National Diaper Need Awareness Week, we not only want to make the public aware of how important a diaper is, and why we have diapers banks, we also want to thank all of our volunteers and donors. Volunteers who give hours and hours of their lives and donors who provide the funding, the diapers, and all of the other in kind donations to help families here in Contra Costa County. It takes a village.
Shout out to Diane, Julie, Patty, Kathy, Stephanie, Victoria, Sandra, Lisa (who just retired), Theresa, Teri, Jennifer, Dean and Haley - their love for service and the babies.

47 babies today, one of them was this cutie pie. Thank you to Julie and Diane for working the front desk and Victoria and Kathy for wrapping diapers for next week, and Haley for taking diapers home to wrap and collecting from our drop boxes this week.

When we asked a couple of moms how the diaper bank helps here is what they said:

-Our assistance makes their lives much easier.
-Very thankful for our service and support.
