🌀 Friday Feature Time 🌀

🌸 In honor of AAPI Heritage Month, we’re proud to spotlight one of our Education Managers: Ms. Rose Ann Ramiro! 🌸

Rose Ann joined CSB in 2016 and brings 23 years of experience in early childhood education (ECE). She began her teaching journey in the Philippines as an elementary school teacher before continuing her ECE path in Canada, where she discovered her passion for working with infants and toddlers. 💛

Since joining CSB as a substitute teacher, Rose Ann has grown into several leadership roles ~ from Infant/Toddler Teacher and Master Teacher to Site Supervisor, and now Education Manager. ✨ She is passionate about supporting educators, children, and families while helping give every child a strong “Head Start” in life.

Outside of work, Rose Ann enjoys watching K-Dramas 😊, relaxing at the beach 🌊, and sharing her favorite Filipino dishes like adobo and kare-kare! 🍲

💬 Her advice for those entering ECE:
“You have the power to shape the future. Your work matters - and you matter, too.” Powerfully put Ms. Ramiro, we couldn’t agree more!

Thank you, Rose Ann, for your leadership, heart, and dedication to our CSB community! 💙

☀️ HAPPY AAPI HERITAGE MONTH! ☀️

🌈Happy Friday🌈

🎂 Happy 61st Birthday, Head Start!

Sixty-one years ago, a bold idea took root: every child — no matter their zip code or family income — deserves a strong start in life. What began as an 8-week summer program in 1965 has since served more than 38 million children and counting.

Today, Head Start programs across all 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, and U.S. territories continue that promise every single day — offering early education, health screenings, nutritious meals, and deep family support.

Join us in celebrating this milestone and learn how Head Start continues to change lives: https://go.nhsa.org/61

Happy Earth Day 🌎💚

Learning from our littlest teachers… swipe for 5 simple ways they show us how to care for the planet — and in turn, care for health ✨

1️⃣ nature-based play 🌿
getting outside builds connection to the earth → kids who love nature are more likely to protect it

🌿supports mental health, movement, and regulation

2️⃣ get outside + connect 🌳
fresh air, sunlight, and green space = less stress, stronger bodies

🌳reminds us we’re part of nature, not separate from it

3️⃣ more fruits & veggies 🍎🥦 (and meatless meals)
plant-forward eating uses fewer resources + lowers emissions

🍎nourishes growing bodies with fiber, vitamins, and energy

4️⃣ reduce, reuse, recycle ♻️
small daily habits cut down waste and protect our environment

♻️builds lifelong awareness and responsibility

5️⃣ celebrate + care together 🎉
when we make it joyful, it sticks — community care = planet care

🎉 strengthens connection, belonging, and well-being

part of giving children a is ensuring they have a healthy planet to grow and live in 🌱
it doesn’t have to be big — small actions, big impact👉stronger together

Happy Earth Day today & everyday 💚
