The end of summer is approaching, but the 2026 Wednesday morning Garden Talks at Our Garden demonstration garden in Walnut Creek will continue for two more months -- through the month of October!

With a different garden topic every Wednesday morning, these informative talks are given outdoors under the large oak tree near the corner of Shadelands Dr. and N. Wiget Ln. from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. -- a free service of the UC Master Gardeners of Contra Costa County! No need to register, just show up!

After the talk, bring your specific gardening questions to the master gardeners at the Ask A Master Gardener information booth, open until 12 noon, for free expert advice!

It's Pollinator Week (June 22–28) β€” and your garden is part of something bigger than you might think.

Pollinators β€” bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and more β€” are essential to the health of California's home gardens, farms, and wild landscapes. The plants you grow can support them, or work against them.

This week, we're sharing tips for making your garden a place pollinators love. Share your pollinator photos in the comments β€” we want to see what's visiting your garden!
