Congratulations Sarah! Well deserved!

🎉 Congratulations to Sarah Jakositz, the 2025 NHWWA Young Professional of the Year! 🎉💧

Sarah is an exceptional engineer, leader, and mentor whose dedication to the drinking water industry and the NHWWA Young Professionals community has made a lasting impact across New England. From her work on treatment plant design and hydraulic modeling to tackling complex challenges like PFAS investigations and lead service line replacement, Sarah approaches every project with creativity, courage, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Beyond her technical expertise, Sarah is a natural leader who leads with heart. Since joining the NHWWA YP leadership team in 2019, she has served as Events Coordinator, Vice President, and now President—creating inclusive events, technical sessions, and leadership initiatives that elevate underrepresented voices and connect young professionals with experienced mentors. 🤝💙

Sarah is a nationally recognized professional, a licensed Professional Engineer, and a role model who inspires the next generation of engineers to dream bigger and aim higher. She leads by example, generously giving her time, energy, and wisdom, and reminding us that true leadership is about lifting others up and leaving our profession better than we found it.

Her passion, integrity, and vision represent the very best of the water industry and its future. Sarah, we are incredibly grateful for all that you do and so proud to celebrate you—congratulations on this well-deserved honor! 🙌🌟
