🐐🚧 Concord's furry fire-prevention specialists are back on the job.

Starting June 6, our goat crew will begin their annual vegetation management work at Markham Nature Park. In partnership with Capra Environmental Services, these four-legged landscapers will spend the next 4–6 weeks munching their way through overgrown vegetation to help reduce fire hazards throughout the city.

As the goats rotate through parks, trails, creeks, and open spaces, feel free to stop by and watch them work—but please remember:
⚡ Stay outside the temporary electric fencing
🚫 Please do not pet or feed the goats

The herd will be visiting several locations this season, including Willow Pass Park, Hillcrest Park, Markham Nature Park, Newhall Park, Brazil Quarry Park, the Montecito Lake area, and more.

Thank you for helping keep our community—and our hardworking goats—safe. 🐐
