The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office is proud to share that six CCSO deputies, alongside officers from surrounding agencies, recently completed the inaugural Veterans Response Team (VRT) Training Course.
Hosted by the Salisbury VA Police Department and sponsored by the Salisbury VA, this specialized training equips CIT-certified Veteran first responders with the tools to effectively and peacefully resolve incidents involving Veterans in crisis. The course emphasized de-escalation, connecting Veterans to local resources, and applying real-world, scenario-based problem-solving techniques.
We are proud of our deputies for their continued commitment to serving those who have served our country.
