Yesterday, at the 4-H Grit to Grow Summit, NHDOT's Human Resources and Construction team joined educators, industry leaders, and community partners to hear directly from New Hampshire teens about the barriers they face and the support they need to succeed. We also had the opportunity to showcase the many career paths available at NHDOT, from engineering and construction to administration, technology, and transportation operations.
These conversations help us strengthen our recruitment efforts and better connect with the next generation of public servants.

Professional development is an important part of building the future of NHDOT.
Last week, District 5 Assistant Engineer Zach Roller and Chief Communications Officer Jen Lane attended the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Management Institute in Pittsburgh, PA, where transportation professionals from across the country came together to strengthen leadership skills and share ideas.
We're proud to support opportunities that help our employees grow, develop as leaders, and bring valuable knowledge back to New Hampshire.

Congratulations to NHDOT's Dana Lacasse, who recently completed and presented his research project on the history of driveway permitting requirements along New Hampshire state roadways as part of the Certified Public Manager Program.
The project explored opportunities to improve consistency, transparency, and safety in driveway permitting through policy research, staff surveys, and GIS analysis.
The nationally accredited CPM program develops leadership and management skills for public sector professionals through coursework, collaboration, and applied projects that address real-world challenges facing government agencies.

If you lose power, report the outage directly to your provider so crews know exactly where help is needed. Don’t assume someone else has already made the call. Every report is like a pin on the map. The more pins, the clearer the picture for restoration crews.
