The Division of Emergency Services and Communications mission is to locate, communicate, and connect people in an emergency. RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

The purpose of this page is to permit authorized employees to provide the public with information concerning the New Hampshire Department of Safety's and the Division of Emergency Services and Communications' mission, goals, programs, activities

, events, news, stories, photographs, and videos and to disseminate other information and material intended to increase public awareness. All postings/comments, in addition to being governed by the terms and conditions established by Facebook, are subject to the following Rules of Engagement as established by the State of New Hampshire Department of Information Technology.

• The use of obscene, threatening or harassing language is prohibited on
the State’s social media sites;
• Personal attacks of any kind or offensive comments that target or

Answer the call-taker’s questions. It may seem like NH 911 call-takers ask a lot of questions, but they are designed get the most important information as quickly and completely as possible. Answering the questions does not delay help. Call-takers can alert dispatch to the situation over the computer even as they continue to speak to the caller, collecting additional information and managing patient care.

Your quick action could be the difference in ensuring emergency responders arrive as soon as possible. It’s always better to have multiple reports than none at all!

They should also know how to call 911 from a locked phone and know (or have access) to their home address and parents’ phone numbers

NH 911 is pleased to welcome our newest class of telecommunicator trainees: Chelsea Razinha, Joshua Morrill, Kathryn Lindbloom, Maverick Loveless, Shakur Collins, Summer Cowger and Taylor Kelly. They are working hard in the classroom portion of their training and will be gradually begin answering calls to NH 911 over the next few months as their knowledge grows and their skills progress. Welcome to the team!
