New Hampshire Canine Trooper's Association

New Hampshire Canine Trooper's Association New Hampshire Canine Trooper's Association, Inc. provides financial assistance for our retired K9's After approximately three years, the NHCTA became a reality.

The dream of establishing the New Hampshire Canine Troopers Association Inc. (NHCTA) began back in 2006 with a group of New Hampshire State Police K-9 handlers who saw the necessity to support fellow retired K-9 handlers with post service veterinarian care/burial costs, as well as the need for supplemental training and safety equipment. It was through this recognizable need that the development of

the NHCTA came to fruition. In 2012, after several years of dormancy, the development of the NHCTA reignited. In 2015, the NHCTA became a Registered Charitable Trust (Non-Profit Organization) with the Department of the Attorney General, Division of Charitable Trusts pursuant to Chapter 7 Section 19 of the Revised Statutes Annotated of the State of New Hampshire. The NHCTA Registration # is 13709 with a Date of Issuance of September 14, 2015.

💙 🐕 The NHCTA deeply mourns the passing of one of our valued K9 partners, retired K9 Riggs.

K9 Riggs proudly served with the Wolfeboro Police Department and successfully completed the NH State Police patrol school in 2015. From the very beginning of his training, he became an integral member of our search and rescue team, contributing countless hours in service to our communities.

After a long and distinguished career, Riggs enjoyed a well-earned retirement with his handler and family. His dedication and service will never be forgotten.

Rest easy, K9 Riggs—you will be dearly missed by all of us at the NHCTA. Thank you for your years of service and for standing beside our unit and association. Your search and rescue partners will carry on from here. 💙

The NHCTA, the New Hampshire State Police, and Eli’s family stand together in grief as we say goodbye. Eli had only just begun his retirement with us at the NHCTA, and his loss is felt deeply by all.

Please keep his handler and the entire State Police family in your thoughts. Rest easy, Eli. Your watch is complete. 💙
