📢 Public Information Meeting: Route 2 Concord Rotary Improvements

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) wants to hear from you! A public meeting is happening on June 24th at 6:00 PM to discuss proposed upgrades to the Concord Rotary and Elm Street intersections (Project No. 602091).

Four alternatives are being considered to improve safety, ease traffic operations, and add pedestrian and bicycle accommodations. These include looking at a grade-separated interchange versus an at-grade solution, as well as replacing the Route 2 bridge over the Assabet River.

🐘 Beacon Hill is at it again, folks...and they're calling it "progress."

Massachusetts S.2936 is being sold as "improving voting access and reducing municipal burden." Sounds great on a bumper sticker. Let's talk about what it *actually* does. 👇

📬 They want to mail a permanent mail-in ballot signup form to EVERY registered voter in Massachusetts. Not because you asked for one. Just because. Nothing says election integrity like unsolicited ballot applications landing in mailboxes across the Commonwealth!

📦 Mandatory drop boxes - open 12+ hours a day - for the entire voting period. One for every 25,000 voters. Chain of custody? We'll just... trust it.

🗓️ Mail ballots accepted up to 7 DAYS after Election Day as long as the postmark is "legible." So don't bother staying up on Election Night, we won't know the results for a week!

💻 Manage your vote through an online portal.
Because nothing says "secure election" like a website!

And what's *missing* from this bill?
Stronger voter ID.
Better ballot verification.
Real chain of custody protections.

This bill is sitting in the Senate Ways & Means Committee RIGHT NOW.
