🎉 SO! MUCH! FUN! 🎈Already planning the next one!! 🚒 Golden Feather Volunteer Fire Company (GFVFC) hosted our Station 38 Open House, after partnering with North Valley Community Foundation, BCFD and Private Donors to make some much needed upgrades and improvements through Grants and Donations. We celebrated its completion with free food, games, prizes, and interactive & informative booths. So Much Support… Community Members, Yankee Hill Fire Safe Council, Superintendent Doug Teeter, retired firefighters, Cal Fire Butte County DSI, Jarbo Gap firefighters, BC2111, and BCFD Co 37 Volunteer firefighters all came out to show their support. It was great to see everyone mingling, playing games, touring the station, and eating together. At one point, we had standing room only.
Thank You so much GFVFC for your continued support, helping us help our Community!

Beginning May 1, 2025, CAL FIRE will require a burn permit for burning on all unincorporated lands, or State Responsibility Areas, within CAL FIRE jurisdiction.

The cities of Gridley, Biggs, Oroville, and the Town of Paradise require permits year-round. If you live in one of these areas, check with your local officials about current burn permit rules.

🔥 Volunteer Firefighters Co 21 🔥 homes burned to the ground while they are out fighting the Park Fire that has reached over 240,000 acres!
Meet David & Jonathan Tehan, a Father/Son duo, that I had the pleasure of going through the academy with 5 yrs ago.
We are not only honored to fight by their side, but blessed to call them our good friends!
So dedicated to their community that Jonathan has since become Captain.

🚒 NBC News also got word of Concows Golden Feather Fire Company 37 newest recruits and decided to pick up the story as well.
A lot of people don’t realize that Concow and Pulga are closest to where the Camp Fire originated, that this community (the Concow, Pulga, Big Bend, & Yankee Hill Highway 70 corridor) burned well before other parts of Butte County.
So glad to see our “Forgetten Ridge” get some positive publicity!!

Golden Feather Fire Company 37 new recruits!! Concow had 3 community members finish the academy today and become the newest Full Responder Fire Fighters for the Concow, Yankee Hill, Big Bend, & Pulga Highway 70 corridor. This brings the total members in Co 37 to 8 !!
