As of 2023, Kris Duncan (me) is no longer President of the Board of The Concrete Community Scholarship Fund . Since 2016, it was my distinct pleasure to initiate this non-profit charity benefitting the youth of Concrete and award scholarships to CHS graduates, however having board members who live in the Valley is very important, I believe. It has been passed to Jason & Laura Schmidt with my blessing & appreciation. The mailing address continues to be in Concrete, PO box 123, Concrete, WA 98237. This page will not be monitored and I hope a new one will be started for the scholarship fund.

CONCRETE LIONS!!
All graduates, classmates & school staff...

You are invited to a potluck Aug. 20th. Hosted by graduating class of 1972.

The class of 1972 is hosting an All School Picnic Aug 20th after the Cascade Days parade. Held at Silo Park 1pm gathering/socializing, 2:30 potluck. Bring a lawn chair too.

As we get older, we realize how fast time goes, how many classmates have passed, and how important it is to connect with former classmates.

PLAY BALL! Participating in sports & volunteering in the community are both great ways to demonstrate good character & leadership when applying for scholarships. The Concrete Community Scholarship Fund board looks for this in our scholarship applications each year. Our application deadline is always April 5th.
If you know a graduating senior who plans to further their education in tech, vocational or college, remind them to apply!
NOTICE: Bob Hickman, the softball coach for Concrete High School, needs 5 more players to even have a 2022 season. Get fit, make memories, play a sport! Please sign up at the High School office or final forms on the district home page. We need to have a softball season. Thank you and Go Lions!!

The Concrete Community Scholarship Fund
CHS seniors! Only a few months left of your high school career. Take time to help yourself prepare for your future education tech college to university. Read through the scholarship notebook that Ms. Joens has prepared. Find the Concrete Community Scholarship Fund application page and see if you qualify. The due date to submit an application is April 15th! Be sure to follow application requirements exactly. Ask questions if you need to. See you at graduation!

This quarter, the Concrete Community Scholarship Fund (CCSF) has received three $10 donations through Facebook and a total of $14.49 through AmazonSmile ! Small donations can make a huge difference in the scholarship amount we offer to a CHS grad. And by choosing the CCSF as your charity when ordering Amazon purchases through AmazonSmile, Amazon automatically sends a small donation directly to the CCSF bank account for our next scholarship. EASY!!

Thank you for finding our CCSF FB post. Would you please consider recommending this page? Recommendations improve the visibility of the Concrete Community Scholarship Fund on Facebook. Also, if you know a CHS senior, encourage them to read the application requirements for our scholarship. We are listed in the Scholarship Book that Ms. Joens prints each year.
With enough donations, we can award multiple scholarships to CHS grads in June! And/or renew them for 2nd year college students. You can make a difference.
