Free Stroke Education for EMS - live televised sessions each week

Join us each week for a FREE live televised educational session sponsored by the South Dakota Mission: Lifeline Statewide Stroke Initiative. Education is focused on the BEFAST and VAN stroke assessment, reviews clinical management of stroke patients by EMS and discusses EMS centric resources available to EMS agencies in South Dakota.

Fire Danger Emergency Declaration (Burn Ban) is in place for Spink County effective immediately due to forecasted dry and hot conditions. The Spink County Commission approved a Burn Ban today, July 21st 2026. No open burning allowed.

ATTENTION PUBLIC SAFETY NOTICE!!
Spink County has put a Burn Ban in place, for all open and uncontained burning, effective immediately until further notice! Please call the Sheriff's Office to obtain a permit for any open burning at 605 472 4595.
Burn barrels, BBq grills, and contained campfires are still allowed but keep a close eye on them and have a water source on stand by.

Last night the Conde Fire District was blessed to recieve a $3,500 grant from the Fire and Iron Station 49 Motorcyle Club based out of Mitchell SD. This club is made up of Fire Fighters from around the area with the passion for riding and raising money to help fire departments, victims to fire incidents, and families of fallen fire fighters. They raise funds by seeking out donations and an annual benefit ride. Conde Fire District appreciates their passion and generosity towards Emergency Services and is very thankful to have recieved these grant funds! The money will be used to help pay for recent repairs to our radio communication system. Go check out their page at the link below or drop a thank you in the comments below
