🔍 A whole new world of discovery at MRC Preschool
For preschoolers, learning often begins with noticing the smallest things.
During the first few days of this school year, some of our returning students had the chance to explore insects and arachnids preserved in lucite cubes—looking closely, comparing details, asking questions, and even using a magnifying glass to see what tiny features they could find. Experiences like this invite children to slow down, observe carefully, wonder out loud, and begin thinking like scientists.
In preschool, curiosity is a classroom essential. A small bug, a delicate wing, a pattern on a shell, or the shape of tiny legs can open the door to big conversations about the natural world. Hands-on exploration helps children build observation skills, vocabulary, focus, confidence, and the joy of discovering something new.
And for our returning students, the second year of preschool is still full of firsts. They may know the classroom, the teachers, and some familiar routines—but there is still a whole new world waiting to be explored. Each year brings new questions, new skills, new friendships, and new moments when children get to say, “Look what I found!”
