📚✨ One of the many special moments that makes this time of year so memorable in our schools!
With field trips, celebrations and end-of-year activities keeping everyone busy, we're catching up on some of the wonderful experiences our students have enjoyed this spring.
On May 3, Donnelly second graders in Mrs. Miller's class welcomed a special guest reader, Jordan Patch, a Saber graduate, Donnelly alum, owner of Animal Adventure Park AND Mrs. Miller’s brother! Jordan visited the class to read his self-authored book, “Arty's Animal Adventures,” which connected perfectly to a classroom tradition. Throughout December, students followed Arty's online adventures as they counted down to Christmas while learning about animals from around the world.
With a field trip to Animal Adventure coming up, Jordan's visit offered even more inspiration. Students learned that authors come from all walks of life and can write about the things they are passionate about. They also saw firsthand how a former Donnelly student followed his dreams and turned a love of animals into a career focused on education, conservation and making a difference.
Thank you, Jordan, for sharing your story and encouraging our young readers, writers and dreamers!
