Mrs. Kennedy's Art II students are learning to draw using a two-point perspective. Each student drew at least 6 buildings and they are adding unique details. They were also shown how to draw a variety of windows and doors to two different vanishing points. This is always a class favorite drawing project.

Yesterday the Honor and Merit Roll students for the 2nd nine weeks were treated to a root beer float from Mr. Kennedy. Congratulations to all the students. They enjoyed the surprise treat during lunchtime. Thank you to Mrs. Loomis, Mrs. Kennedy, Mr. Case, SRO Gifford, SRO Rose and Auggie for helping serve the students their root beer floats!

6th grade writing class with Mrs. Kuscsik.
Students have been working on informative writing and text structure for the past couple weeks. The students have been learning about informative writing by dissecting pieces of informative writing and identifying key parts and structures of an informative essay. Today, the students started using the text structure, compare and contrast, with two of the StudySync stories, focused on Perseus from Greek mythology and Margaret Bourke-White, a famous photojournalist from the 1920’s. The essential question they have been focusing on is: “What motivates us to conquer feelings of uncertainty?”
